Tips To Resolving Personal Difficulties

Life is like a box of chocolates, you dont know what youre gonna get. according to Tom Hanks in Forest Gump

The first step to evolving into a better person is to face your personal difficulties head-on believing you can jump each hurdle on the way to achieving progress. In resolving our personal difficulties, we should form the habit of not shirking away from the curve balls that life throws at us.

Below are 6 tips to resolving personal difficulties:

Deal with the what ifs Certain questions tend to come to mind when experiencing difficulties such as, what if it gets worse? What if I never find an answer? What if I wasn’t supposed to do this? What if I shouldnt be here? What if I fail? What if I am not liked? Deal with the what ifs

Learn to be strong: Learning to handle difficulties in a matured manner equips us with the appropriate mindset to see things moving in a positive direction. We are able to deal with challenges this way because we refuse to allow pessimism cloud our thoughts. Being strong requires determination, decisiveness and will power to keep our focus on the results we intend to achieve from resolving our personal difficulties.

The sole purpose of every experience gained, is to make you a better person who can confidently face whatever life has to offer.

Being able to give little importance to yourself will enable you assess what you have, what you need to get and how to work hard achieving this. Underestimating your capabilities will make you a pitiful insecure individual.

Share your fears We become afraid of the dark unconsciously because weve heard tales of Count Dracula sucking our blood or zombies coming to get us. The fear is banished temporarily when we have some form of company, or the lights are switched on. The fear is BANISHED TOTALLY when we believe such things dont exist. In the context of friendship, if weve developed trust in certain individuals, we are not scared to pour out chaff and grain together, with a fear of being judged or getting disappointed. We know we would feel better because trusted friends serve as the company we desire in difficult times. We would always need somebody whom we can trust, who accepts as individuals with imperfections. Endeavour to seek wise counsel because circumstances are seen in different perspectives and several insights could be provided. Sharing your problems with people you trust is therapeutic and will release the dam of pent-up emotions kept deep inside you which would result in: a clear head, a shoulder to lean on, happiness and an immeasurable amount of reassurance.

Make your move Once you have recognised the root of the problems, formulate a plan of action which will help you find a solution. Carefully weigh each pros and cons. Remember to tread lightly, for one little mistake might bring you back to square one. Be emboldened by the fact that you have armed yourself with the determination and strength of mind to surpass the difficulties you are facing. Also bear in mind you shouldnt lose sight of your purpose in life. If you get distracted from what you initially set out to do, then you may find it difficult getting back into the scheme of things.
